EXPERIENCE

Dave has litigated cases in a wide variety of areas in both state and federal court, including insurance coverage, tax controversies, disputes between owners of closely held businesses, and commercial litigation. In addition, Dave has handled appeals in state and federal court on issues such as the interpretation of insurance policy provisions, filing of federal income tax refund claims, the proper venue for small claims actions, and the fitness for use of used automobiles under the Uniform Commercial Code. Dave has also represented clients in administrative appeals before the Indiana Department of Revenue and the Internal Revenue Service. Dave’s experience also includes the representation of automobile dealers in state and federal litigation, arbitration, and mediation, including disputes with manufacturers involving Indiana’s general franchise statutes and the Indiana Motor Vehicle Manufacturers, Distributors, and Dealers Unfair Practices Act. Dave has spoken at workshops and written articles on a variety of topics affecting automobile dealers and has provided general advice to automobile dealers on legal compliance issues, franchise issues, and corporate matters. Outside of his practice, Dave serves on the Board of Directors of Indian Lake Country Club.
